The Area Housing Authority is an independent, non-profit agency serving the residents of Camarillo, Fillmore, Moorpark, Ojai, Simi Valley, Thousand Oaks and the unincorporated areas of Ventura County.
Our Mission
The AHA shall be a catalyst to provide opportunities and assistance to people in need of affordable housing through partnerships with the communities we serve.
Our Vision
The Vision of the AHA is to afford shelter, stability, and self sufficiency for the community to ensure a sustainable quality of life.
Commissioners
The Area Housing Authority is governed by a 15-member Board of Commissioners. Each jurisdiction appoints two Commissioners to serve a 4-year term. In addition, one Resident Commissioner is appointed “at-large”.

The Area Housing Authority is located just off the 101 Freeway at the Ventu Park exit in Newbury Park. The street address is:

Directions:
Exit the 101 Freeway at Ventu Park
Go North on Ventu Park to Hillcrest Drive.
Turn right on Hillcrest Drive.
Turn right into our driveway.
Hours of Operation
Monday - Thursday: 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
*Alternating Fridays: 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
* In order to conserve energy, we are closed every other Friday. Please call for the schedule.
